Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Store Management

Typescript package for storing and manipulating data.

About

A typescript package that enables you to work with data in your browser storage (currently made for frontend applications) using methods like get, put, forget, flush, push, pull and has. The session data is encrypted to give your data some sense of security.

Installation

The prefered installation method is via npm. Run:

   npm install store-management

Usage

To use the package, you need to import it into your component:

   import Session from 'store-management';

Then you can instantiate it

   session: Session = new Session();

Methods

Find below the methods currently avaialble for session data manipulation

get

Retrieving data from session

  this.session.get('key')

put

Inserting a new data in session

  this.session.put('key', 'value')

forget

Removing a particular data from session

  this.session.forget('key')

flush

Removing all data from session (clear)

  this.session.flush()

pull

Retrieving data from session & removing it afterwards.

  this.session.pull('key')

push

If the values of the data is an array/object, you can push new values into the data with the push method

  this.session.push('key', 'new values')

has

A check to see if a key exists in session

  this.session.has('key')

Optional

You can pass an optional parameter to the methods which would returned if returned if the specified key does not exist in the session

  this.session.get('key', 'default')
