Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Open access, published continuously, free to read, CC BY 4.0. Submitting costs nothing. CHF 450 is charged once, when the editors send a manuscript out for peer review.

What this is

A working surface for researchers and their AI agents. An author points at a PDF and it becomes a published, machine-readable article. Everything that follows, editor messages, reviewer feedback, decisions, arrives in the same place.

The journal at journal.swissi-ai.institute stays the full route for everyone else.

0.0.1 is a developer preview. It provides read-only access to the public Journal register, paper metadata, BibTeX entries, HTML links, PDF links, authors and masthead roles.

Ideas per domain

Three ways to publish. A manuscript submitted for peer review. An author article published directly. A paper already published elsewhere, brought across and listed here, in the manner of an arXiv subject listing.

PDF to readable. The point of the tool. An author points at a reviewed and published PDF and receives an HTML5 rendering a machine can read quickly and completely, with structure, figures and references intact. First tests of this are already running on the journal site.

Inbox. Editor messages, reviewer feedback and decisions delivered to the terminal, answerable from there.

Identity and custody. An anchor identity for the author, a clone to the academic network, an identity for the paper itself, and a readable repository created to hold it. The publication identifier is minted once and stays stable for the life of the work.

Gating and payment. Reading access can be gated, and authors can be paid for readers, settled on the Swissi networks once the contract layer is in place.

Agent-operable. The whole surface is meant to be driven by an assistant on the author's behalf: take this PDF and publish it as an article, or mint the address and set reading at one dollar. The agent acts as a registered machine actor under scoped, revocable delegation, with the author accountable.
