Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Sys Stats Monitor

This package monitors the system resources of a machine and displays the usage statistics on the console.

What is Octor?

Octor Monitor Is An Uptime Monitor Open Software Which Helps To Keep Your Projects Online 24/7 For Free.

You will be able to know the resource used by your project by using this package. This is very helpful to those who are worried about their resources.

Installation

To install web package, you will need to install a few dependencies first. Once you have done that, you can add the following code to your project and you will be up and running in no time!

First, install the necessary dependencies by running the following commands in your terminal:

npm install sys-octor

Next, add this code to your project:

const stats = require('sys-octor');

Customization

You can customize the behavior of the script by modifying the following functions in the index.js file:

  • sendResources(): This function logs the system resource usage statistics to the console. You can modify this function to send the statistics to a different output stream

  • stats(interval): This function starts monitoring the system resource usage statistics and updates the output every interval milliseconds (default: 30 seconds). You can change the interval to a different value if desired.
