t8star-cli

npm CLI for the T8Star API documented at https://gpt-best.apifox.cn/.

Requirements

• Node.js 18 or newer
• T8Star API key

Configuration

You can use a local .env file:

T8STAR_API_KEY="your-api-key"
T8STAR_BASE_URL="https://ai.t8star.cn"

Or export variables in your shell:

export T8STAR_API_KEY="your-api-key"
export T8STAR_BASE_URL="https://ai.t8star.cn"

Shell environment variables take precedence over .env values. T8STAR_BASE_URL is optional and defaults to https://ai.t8star.cn.

Install Locally

npm install
npm run build
npm link

Commands

Generate an image:

t8star image generate \
  --model gpt-image-1 \
  --prompt "a clean product photo of a red mechanical keyboard" \
  --aspect-ratio 1:1 \
  --output out/keyboard.png

Generate with a reference image URL:

t8star image generate \
  --model nano-banana \
  --prompt "turn this into a cinematic poster" \

Edit a local image:

Use chat image generation:

Use chat image editing with an image URL:

Call any documented endpoint directly:

Output Behavior

Without --output, commands print pretty JSON.

With --output, the CLI tries to save the first image-like result:

• data[0].b64_json is decoded.
• data[0].url is downloaded.
• Markdown image URLs in choices[0].message.content are downloaded.
• If no image-like result exists, raw JSON is written.
