Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Tabby MultiExec

Persistent, selective MultiExec for the Tabby terminal.

Tabby MultiExec extends Tabby's tiled terminal workflow with persistent broadcast input, dynamic per-terminal exclusions, layout controls, and one-click copying of the active terminal buffer.

Features

  • Persistent MultiExec mode
  • MultiExec remains active when changing the focused terminal
  • Dynamic per-pane Exclude control
  • Exclusions can be changed while MultiExec is running
  • MultiExec automatically tiles open sessions when needed
  • Tile sessions without enabling MultiExec
  • Return tiled sessions to their original tab order
  • Explicit MultiExec ON/OFF status in every pane
  • Home/End and other Tabby-generated terminal input follow the active pane broadcast path
  • Multiline paste is confirmed once on the source pane, then forwarded to included panes
  • Bare Insert is suppressed while MultiExec is ON to avoid accidental remote mode changes
  • One-click copy of the focused terminal's complete scrollback
  • Compact toolbar controls with hover descriptions
  • No external service or server required

Workflow

Normal tabs can remain normal tabs.

Use Tile when you want to view sessions together without broadcasting.

Enable MultiExec to tile sessions and begin persistent broadcast input.

Clicking another terminal changes the active input terminal without disabling MultiExec.

Check Exclude on any pane to immediately remove that pane from broadcast output. Exclusions may be changed dynamically while MultiExec is active.

Multiline paste keeps Tabby's safety confirmation on the active/source pane. After approval, the resulting terminal input is forwarded to included panes without additional destination prompts.

While MultiExec is enabled, an unmodified Insert key is intentionally ignored. Modifier shortcuts such as Shift+Insert remain available, including paste.

Disable MultiExec to stop broadcast while leaving the tiled layout intact.

Use Tabs to return the tiled sessions to individual tabs.

After MultiExec is turned off and the tiled workspace is returned to normal tabs, Tabby's normal single-tab focus and paste behavior is restored. A multiline paste into one selected tab produces one confirmation and is sent only to that tab.

Installation

Install tabby-multiexec from Tabby's built-in Plugin Manager.

Restart Tabby after installation or upgrade if required.

Compatibility

Initial release tested with Tabby 1.0.235 on Linux.

Other Tabby versions and operating systems may work but have not yet been formally validated.
