Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Simulator

Run yarn start to start local (React) server

Release

Update version in package.json, and add information to CHANGELOG.md

Create a version tag

  • git checkout master
  • git tag -a v0.2.1 -m "v0.2.1"
  • git push origin v0.2.1

Rebase release branch

  • git checkout release
  • git rebase master
  • git push origin release

Install

Installation options:

  1. code --install-extension <VSIX-file>
  2. VSCode UI: Select 'Extensions' -> '...' -> 'Install from VSIX'
