Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

masks of this type are great for when you need to reduce the redness or moisturize your skin. for each step in this at-home, peeling process, use a fresh fruit to make your own peel-off mask. after you peel the fruit, use the peel or juice to hydrate your skin.

hackers are inspired by a wide range of sources, but are usually driven by a conspiracy of one form or another. the hacker-activist may be working alone, or may try to recruit others to join. other hackers may be motivated by boredom or frustration. some steal for the thrill of the hunt.

big data as we know it is now a thing. for hackers, the collection of data was once a relatively small affair, mostly accomplished by torturing mainframe computers or rooting through honeypots. in recent years, however, hackers have seen an increase in the capability of malware to report and store data. hackers are no longer limited by the technical sophistication of their targets.

hackers are simultaneously more powerful and more isolated than ever before. no one is immune to being victimized by a determined hacker. but, these days, even the most organized and most secure companies are already being compromised. and, in the era of social networks, it's becoming easier than ever for hackers to find victims - and easier than ever for those victims to be found. this is the most important shift in hacker culture in generations. -- terry gilliam

computer security is the problem of how to keep your data safe from the people who want to steal your data. it's a thorny problem, because there are two groups of people: the people who have your data and the people who want your data. both groups have every incentive to try to compromise security; the thieves want your data and they want it now. the good guys don't have all of the answers but they have one key advantage: they know who they are. 84d34552a1
