Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Thursday Canvas

Infinite zoomable canvas for thinking, designing, planning, studying, and connecting ideas with universal aesthetic themes and the algorithmic Fusion Engine.


Quick Start

Global Installation via npm

npm install -g thursday-canvas

Then start:

thursday-canvas

Global Installation via pnpm

pnpm add -g thursday-canvas

Then start:

thursday-canvas

Run Directly via npx / pnpm dlx

npx thursday-canvas

or

pnpm dlx thursday-canvas

Windows Standalone Executable

If you don't want Node.js installed, download or run ThursdayCanvas.exe:

.\ThursdayCanvas.exe

This single, lightweight (~140 KB) executable embeds all client assets, starts a fast local HTTP server, and opens your default browser automatically.


CLI Options

The thursday-canvas command and ThursdayCanvas.exe support the following options:

Local Development & Building

Clone the repository and install dependencies:

npm install

Start the Vite development server:

npm run dev

Build the web application:

npm run build

Build the standalone Windows executable (ThursdayCanvas.exe):

npm run build:exe

Build all packages and perform validation checks:

npm run build:packages
