Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

A unified search plugin for TINKER, searching files, apps, plugins, and browser bookmarks from one place.

Category Tabs to filter by All / Apps / Plugins / Files / Bookmarks
Browser Bookmarks from Chrome and Edge
Recent Items for quick re-open
Keyboard Navigation with ↑↓ to select and Enter to open
Global Hotkey to summon or hide the window
Close on Open option to dismiss the window after opening a result

Installation

Download and install TINKER from https://tinker.liriliri.io/, then run npm i -g tinker-search-all.

Usage

Type a keyword to search files, apps, plugins, and bookmarks
Use category tabs to narrow results
Press ↑↓ to select an item, Enter to open it
Press Esc to clear the query, or again to close the window
Open Settings from the status bar to set a summon hotkey and close-on-open behavior

For the global hotkey to keep working after the window closes, right-click the plugin and enable Run in Background.
