Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

A starter project for building GraphQL APIs with Node.js, Typescript, MongoDB, and MikroORM. It provides a basic folder structure and starter files to help you get started with your own GraphQL API quickly and easily.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

  • Node.js (v14 or later)
  • MongoDB

Installation

  1. Clone the repository: git clone https://github.com/MunavvarSinan/Typescript-GraphQL-MongoDB-MikroORM-Starter.git
  2. Install dependencies: npm install

Running the Application

  1. Start the server: npm start
  2. Open GraphQL Playground at http://localhost:4000/graphql

Testing

  1. Run tests: npm test

Folder Structure

  • src folder contains the source code
    • entities folder contains MikroORM entities
    • resolvers folder contains GraphQL resolvers
    • utils folder contains utility functions
    • index.ts file contains the main application entry point
  • tests folder contains the unit tests
