udfpdf

Convert UYAP UDF documents to PDF, DOCX, HTML, Markdown, or plain text.

UYAP (Ulusal Yargı Ağı Bilişim Sistemi) is Turkey's national judicial network. It produces .udf files for court documents (rulings, records, decisions). This CLI converts them to standard formats.

Install

npm install -g udfpdf

Usage

# Convert to PDF (default)

UDF Format

A .udf file is a ZIP archive containing:

• content.xml — Document layout (paragraphs, tables, styles, page format) in UYAP XML format v1.8
• documentproperties.xml — UYAP metadata (verification code, serial number)
• sign.sgn — X.509/PKCS#7 digital signature (TÜBİTAK chain)

Legal

The UYAP UDF format is a proprietary format produced by Turkey's Ministry of Justice. This tool reverse-engineers the format solely to read documents that users legitimately own — it does not bypass authentication, circumvent DRM, or access any government systems.

Use this tool only with documents you are authorised to access.
