Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Pay UniRouter for inference with a wallet via x402 on Monad mainnet.

unirouter-cli

Pay UniRouter for inference with a wallet — no signup, no API key from us, just x402 on Monad mainnet.

npm install -g unirouter-cli

export WALLET_PRIVATE_KEY=0x... # a wallet funded with real USDC on Monad mainnet

unirouter-cli chat "hello" --model gpt-5-mini

By default this talks to the live UniRouter instance. Pass --url to point at a different instance instead.

The wallet needs real USDC on Monad mainnet, not testnet funds. No MON needed — the facilitator pays settlement gas. --model takes any slug from GET /models on that instance (default openai-gpt-oss-20b).

  1. unirouter-cli calls the router's /paid/<model>/chat/completions.
  2. The router replies 402 Payment Required with an exact price, asset, and receiving address for that model.
  3. The CLI signs an EIP-3009 transferWithAuthorization for that amount and retries the request.
  4. The facilitator verifies and settles the payment on-chain, then the request is served.

The private key never leaves your machine; only a signed, request-scoped payment authorization is sent over the network.

Commands

unirouter-cli chat <message> [--url <url>] [--model <slug>] [--max-tokens <n>]
  • --url — router base URL (default: the live UniRouter instance)
  • --model — model slug from that instance's /models (default openai-gpt-oss-20b)
  • --max-tokens — output token budget to buy (default 200, max 32768); the price scales with it

Pricing

Each request charges upfront for the output budget set by --max-tokens — the CLI sends it as the X-Max-Tokens header and the router prices the 402 challenge accordingly. See unirouter's README for per-model prices.
