Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

useHref

useHref is a custom React hook that provides functionalities for handling URL parameters.

Installation

To use useHref in your React project, you need to install it as a dependency.


npm i use-href

Usage

Import the useHref hook in your React component and start using it.

import useHref from 'use-href';

function MyComponent() {
  const { addQueryParam, deleteQueryParam, getQueryParam } = useHref();

  // Your component code here

  return (

API Reference

addQueryParam(paramName: string, value: string): void

Add a new query parameter to the URL.

  • paramName: The name of the query parameter.
  • value: The value of the query parameter.

deleteQueryParam(paramName: string): void

Delete a query parameter from the URL.

  • paramName: The name of the query parameter to delete.

getQueryParam(paramName: string): string | null

Retrieve the value of a query parameter from the URL.

  • paramName: The name of the query parameter to retrieve.
