usecloak-cli

Command-line client for Cloak — pull encrypted secrets into your local process at runtime. Nothing written to disk.

Install

npm install -g usecloak-cli

The command is cloak regardless of the package name.

Usage

cloak login <token>
cloak run -- npm run dev

Get a token from your Cloak dashboard → Tokens → Create token.

Works with any stack

cloak run -- just spawns whatever command follows --, with secrets injected into its environment. Cloak has no idea what the command does — replace it with however you normally start your app:

cloak run -- npm run dev                  # Node / Next.js / Express
cloak run -- npm start                    # React Native / Expo
cloak run -- yarn dev
cloak run -- python manage.py runserver   # Django
cloak run -- flask run                    # Flask
