Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

uzumejs

uzumejs is a thin wrapper of uzume_vocoder. uzume_vocoder is a WORLD, vocoder, implementation. WORLD is high-quality speech analysis, manipulation and synthesis system by mmorise. See more: https://github.com/mmorise/World

usage

nodejs

Install uzumejs.

npm i uzumejs

Then use like below (need node-wav):

import uzumejs from "uzumejs"
import wave from "node-wav";
import * as fs from "fs"

console.log(process.argv);
uzumejs().then(uzume => {
    const buf = fs.readFileSync("./vaiueo2d.wav");
    const w = wave.decode(buf);
    const wf = uzume.CreateWaveformFrom(w.channelData[0], w.sampleRate);
    if(wf !== null) {
        const out = new uzume.Waveform(wf.length, wf.samplingFrequency);
        const spec = new uzume.WaveformSpectrogram(wf);
        const synth = new uzume.SynthesizeWaveformWithWORLD();
        synth.synthesize(out, spec);
        let b = wave.encode(new Array(uzume.ArrayFromWaveform(out)), {sampleRate: w.sampleRate});
        fs.writeFileSync("./vaiueo_resynth.wav", b);
        wf.delete();
        spec.delete();
        synth.delete();
    }
})

webpack

Install uzumejs.

npm i uzumejs

Change webpack.config.js.

module.exports = {
    webpack: {
        configure:{
            // See https://github.com/webpack/webpack/issues/6725
            module:{
                rules: [{
                    test: /\.wasm$/,
                    type: 'javascript/auto',
                }]
            },
            resolve:{
                fallback: { "path": false, "fs": false }
            }
        }
    }
};

Use like this.

  const audioContext = useRef<AudioContext>(null!);
  const [audioBuffer, setAudioBuffer] = useState<AudioBuffer>(null!);

  useEffect(() => { audioContext.current = new AudioContext(); }, []);

  const handleChangeFile: React.ChangeEventHandler<HTMLInputElement> = async (e) => {
    const file = e?.target?.files?.item(0);
    let _audioBuffer: AudioBuffer | null = null;
    if(file !== null && file !== undefined) {
      _audioBuffer = await audioContext.current.decodeAudioData(
        await file.arrayBuffer()
      );
      setAudioBuffer(_audioBuffer); // 追加
    }
    const u = await uzume({ locateFile: () => uzumejsWasm });
    if(_audioBuffer != null) {
      const w = u.CreateWaveformFrom(_audioBuffer.getChannelData(0), _audioBuffer.sampleRate);
      console.log(_audioBuffer.length, _audioBuffer.sampleRate);
      if(w != null ){
        const sp = new u.WaveformSpectrogram(w);
        const out = new u.Waveform(w.length, w.samplingFrequency);
        const synthesis = new u.SynthesizeWaveformWithWORLD();
        synthesis.synthesize(out, sp);
        _audioBuffer.copyToChannel(u.ArrayFromWaveform(out), 0);
        synthesis.delete();
        sp.delete();
        out.delete();
      }
      console.log(w?.length);
      w?.delete();
    }
    console.log(file?.size);
  };
