gemini-cli-vibe-webhook

Gemini CLI extension for VibeControls webhook notifications. Companion plugin for @burdenoff/vibe-plugin-notify.

Get notified via Slack, Discord, or custom webhooks when Gemini CLI completes tasks.

Installation

npm install gemini-cli-vibe-webhook

Then link to Gemini CLI:

gemini extensions link ./node_modules/gemini-cli-vibe-webhook

Or install globally:

npm install -g gemini-cli-vibe-webhook
gemini extensions link $(npm root -g)/gemini-cli-vibe-webhook

Setup with VibeControls Agent

1. Install and start VibeControls Agent with the notify plugin:

npm install -g @burdenoff/vibe-agent
vibe plugin install @burdenoff/vibe-plugin-notify
vibe start

2. Add webhooks in VibeControls:

vibe notify add https://hooks.slack.com/services/YOUR/SLACK/WEBHOOK

3. Use Gemini CLI normally - notifications will be sent when tasks complete.

Environment Variables

• VIBE_AGENT_URL - VibeControls Agent URL (default: http://localhost:3005)
• VIBE_WEBHOOK_URL - Direct webhook URL (added to webhooks list)
• VIBE_WEBHOOK_DEBUG - Enable debug logging (set to true)

Events

The extension listens to these Gemini CLI hook events:

Debug

Enable debug logging:
