Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Vue Assets Generator

A command-line tool for Vue.js projects that generates JavaScript files for managing assets (like images and icons) in the constants directory. This tool scans specified folders, imports each image, and exports them as named exports for easy access throughout your project.

Installation

Install globally using any of the following package managers:

npm

npm install -g vue-3-assets-generator

bun add -g vue-3-assets-generator

Usage

After installation, you can use vue-assets-gen from any Vue project directory.

Basic Usage

vue-assets-gen

This will scan the default folders src/assets/images and src/assets/icons and generate import/export files in src/constants/.
