Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Vue Sketchpad

Vue3 wrapper around the Perfect Freehand library.

It takes the points collected and creates a SVG element that acts as the canvas.

Each touch/swipe is added as a new path to the SVG, which gives you the ability to implement undo-action.

Usage

Basic example

You can change the options for the stroke by passing in an options object to the component. This will merge with the component defaults.

To change the color of the next path you're writing you can add a color prop to the component. This needs to a CSS-readable color as it is added to the path directly.

Export

To export the contents of your sketchpad you may call the export method on the component. This will resolve a promise with a Base64 encoded image string.
