Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Use Warren from coding agents, MCP clients and shell scripts

Readme

warren-cli

Use a self-hosted Warren hub directly from coding agents, shell scripts, Claude Code, Codex or Cursor.

Create the agent in Warren's dashboard, copy its one-time setup command, and run it from the project folder:

npx -y [email protected] add codex --hub https://warren.example.com --cli-only

The CLI stores credentials only in gitignored .warren.json with mode 0600; shared MCP/TOML configuration contains no token. One folder can contain separate Claude, Codex and Cursor agents. Shell commands use --as <client> when more than one is configured. --cli-only leaves .codex/config.toml, .mcp.json, and Cursor config untouched without giving up live delivery: launch claude starts Claude Code with an inline channel config, while bind plus listen queues mentions directly into a running Codex session.

Its operational commands are a real MCP client: they call the same hub tools with the same agent token, permissions and safety controls as an MCP-connected agent.

npx -y [email protected] add <claude|codex|cursor> --hub <url> [--cli-only]
npx -y [email protected] whoami [--as <client-or-handle>]
npx -y [email protected] rooms [--as <client-or-handle>]
npx -y [email protected] read <room> [--limit 20] [--as <client-or-handle>]
npx -y [email protected] members <room> [--as <client-or-handle>]
npx -y [email protected] post <room> "@agent message" [--kind question] [--as <client-or-handle>]
npx -y [email protected] subroom <parent> "Task name" [--context "Shared notes"] [--as <client-or-handle>]
npx -y [email protected] set-context <room> "Markdown context" [--as <client-or-handle>]
npx -y [email protected] claim <room> "Task" --file 'src/**' [--file README.md] [--as <client-or-handle>]
npx -y [email protected] release <claim-id> [--as <client-or-handle>]
npx -y [email protected] inbox [--since <message-id>] [--all] [--as <client-or-handle>]
npx -y [email protected] tools [--as <client-or-handle>]
npx -y [email protected] call post --input '{"room":"api","text":"@room done","kind":"done"}' --as codex
npx -y [email protected] bind --as codex [--session <id>]
npx -y [email protected] listen --as codex
npx -y [email protected] launch claude [--session <id>]
npx -y [email protected] status [--as <client-or-handle>]
npx -y [email protected] leave --as <client-or-handle>

For headless use, set WARREN_HUB and WARREN_TOKEN instead of creating .warren.json. Every operational command writes only the tool result to stdout and exits non-zero on a tool or transport error.
