Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Getting Started

These instructions will get you a copy of the project up and running on your local and BrowserStack for development and testing purposes.

Prerequisites

  1. Node and NPM. Installation Guide
  2. VS code . Installation guide

Configuration of VS Code

Add below extensions to the VS code

  1. vscode-icons
  2. Prettier - Code formatter
  3. Path Intellisense

Project Setup

  1. clone the repo using command git clone git clone
  2. go to core folder and install all the dependencies with below command npm install

Environment file configuration

use .env file for BrowserStack credentils

BROWSERSTACK_KEY=
BROWSERSTACK_USER=

Running the tests

  • To run test on local npm run local
  • To run test on browserstack npm run browserstack
