Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Readme

webmcp-validator-sdk

The official TypeScript and Node.js SDK for validating WebMCP implementations, calculating AI readiness scores, and generating continuous compliance reports.

🌐 Official Website: https://webmcpworld.com

TypeScript Website License: MIT

🚀 Installation

npm install webmcp-validator-sdk

💡 Quick Start

import { WebMCPValidator } from 'webmcp-validator-sdk';

// 1. Audit a single URL
const report = await WebMCPValidator.audit('https://example.com');

console.log(`URL: ${report.url}`);
console.log(`Score: ${report.overallScore}/100 (Grade ${report.grade})`);
console.log(`Passed: ${report.passed}`);
console.log(`Tools detected: ${report.toolCount}`);

// 2. Save interactive HTML report to disk
await WebMCPValidator.saveReport(report, './report.html', { format: 'html' });

🌐 Site-Wide Batch & Sitemap Auditing

Audit an array of URLs or crawl an entire XML sitemap concurrently:

import { WebMCPValidator } from 'webmcp-validator-sdk';

// Audit a list of URLs with concurrency control
const batchResult = await WebMCPValidator.auditBatch(
  ['https://example.com', 'https://example.com/docs', 'https://example.com/api'],
  { concurrency: 3 }
);

console.log(`Average Score: ${batchResult.averageScore} (Grade ${batchResult.overallGrade})`);
console.log(`Successful scans: ${batchResult.successCount} / ${batchResult.totalUrls}`);

// Or audit via sitemap directly
const sitemapResult = await WebMCPValidator.auditSitemap(
  'https://example.com/sitemap.xml',
  { concurrency: 5, maxUrls: 50 }
);

// Save batch report
await WebMCPValidator.saveBatchReport(sitemapResult, './site-report.html', { format: 'html' });

⚙️ Configuration Options

The audit(url, options) method accepts comprehensive options:

const report = await WebMCPValidator.audit('https://example.com', {
  // Navigation & browser options
  headless: true,
  timeoutMs: 20000,
  mobile: false, // Emulate mobile viewport & user agent

  // Scoring thresholds
  passingScore: 85, // Default is 80

  // Category weight overrides (sums to 100)
  categoryWeights: {
    declarative: 30,
    infrastructure: 20,
    'agent-access': 20,
    imperative: 15,
    'discovery-manifest': 10,
    'chrome-ai': 5,
  },

  // Rule execution filter
  rules: ['IMP-001', 'TQ-001', 'SEC-001'],
});
