Express Middleware for Verify JWT Signature

Signed with WSO3 SHA256withRSA wso2carbok Private Key

jsonwebtoken jwt.verify() not worked for me.

Enabled JWT in WSO2 Using : https://docs.wso2.com/display/AM190/Passing+Enduser+Attributes+to+the+Backend+Using+JWT #####SHA256WITHRSA

Downloaded /repository/resources/security/wso2carbon.jks from WSO2 Installation Server

Opened Using http://sourceforge.net/projects/keystore-explorer/

In list of keys, Right clicked on wso2corbon & Export > Public Key > OpenSSL > Named "public.key"

Installation

$ npm install wso2-jwt-verify

or specify in package.json as dependency

Usage

with express

// Filesystem to read Public Key file

// Parse Body
var bodyParser = require('body-parser');

var express = require('express');

// Setup server
var app = express();

var wso2_jwt_verify = require('wso2-jwt-verify');



app.use(bodyParser.urlencoded({ extended: false }));

app.use(bodyParser.json());

var publicKey = fs.readFileSync('publicx.key');
var token_header_name = 'x-jwt-assertion'
var error_json = { code:401, message:"invalid token", description:"Invalid Access or Bearer Token "}

app.use(wso2_jwt_verify(publicKey, token_header_name, error_json)) // make sure you declare this middleware after `body-parser`  middleware and before `express.router`.

var server = http.createServer(app);

server.listen('8000', 'localhost', function () {
    console.log('Express server listening on %d, in %s mode', config.port, app.get('env'));
});

In your views you would have access to some methods and variables. The middleware also exposes req object.
