XintoX: The Code × Context Multiplier Engine
XintoX (pronounced "Ex-into-Ex") is an enterprise-grade Model Context Protocol (MCP) gateway and real-time context engine for AI coding agents.
By delivering focused AST context, verified architectural standards and team memory in milliseconds, XintoX reduces how much code your AI agents have to read — cutting token spend and grounding answers in your real code to reduce hallucinations and drift across engineering teams.
🚀 Why Engineering Teams Choose XintoX
Modern AI coding agents (Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, Google Antigravity, VS Code) ingest entire files and repositories into prompt windows, leading to context bloat, expensive token bills, and hallucinated code.
XintoX transforms how AI agents interact with your codebase:
- 📉 Smaller prompts: Feeds AI models only the symbol signatures, interfaces, and dependencies a task needs. Measure it on your own repositories with xbench.
- ⚡ Low-latency context: Context lookups return in milliseconds, keeping developers in flow.
- 🧠 Dual-Tier Continuous Memory:
- Private Team Memory: When one engineer fixes a bug, teammates' AI agents immediately inherit the verified solution.
- Global Collective Intelligence: Cross-project best practices and framework patterns are automatically surfaced.
- 🧭 Impact and health checks:
get_impactshows callers, routes, frontend call sites and tests before a change;get_codebase_healthfinds routes pointing at missing code, frontend calls with no backend route, and duplicated helpers. - 🎯 Less hallucination & drift: Grounds answers in your indexed code and keeps agents aligned with company conventions, PSR/PEP standards, and framework rules.
- 🔒 Security Controls: Controls designed in line with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 (not yet independently audited): hashed, scoped and expiring API keys, OAuth 2.1 for connectors, audit logging and per-tenant data controls.
⚡ Quickstart: 1-Command IDE Setup
Connect your favorite AI editor to XintoX in under 30 seconds.
Step 1: Get Your API Key
- Create a free account at client.xintox.com/signup.
- Generate your live API key in the API Keys Dashboard (starts with
xt_live_...).
Step 2: Run the Setup Command
In your project directory:
npx xintox --key xt_live_your_api_key_hereThe CLI:
- Detects the AI editors installed on your machine and shows exactly which files it will create or update (
--dry-runto preview only). It asks before changing anything and keeps a.xintox.bakcopy of every file it modifies. - Configures each editor's MCP connection (see the table below). Files inside your project that contain the key are added to
.gitignore. - Adds a short XintoX section to
AGENTS.md/CLAUDE.md(inside<!-- xintox:start -->markers, so re-running updates it in place). No API key is ever written to these files. - Syncs your code: only git-tracked / non-ignored source files, never credential files, with secret-looking values redacted on your machine before upload.
🛠️ CLI Reference
npx xintox --key <key> # configure detected editors + agent files + sync
npx xintox --key <key> --ide cursor,claude # configure only the named editors
npx xintox --key <key> --dry-run # show the plan, change nothing
npx xintox sync --key <key> # incremental sync: uploads changed files, removes deleted ones
npx xintox sync --key <key> --full # re-upload everything
npx xintox verify --key <key> # check connection and device binding
npx xintox link --project <name> --also ../frontend # search a backend and its frontend together
npx xintox hooks install # sync automatically after commits, pulls, checkouts
npx xintox watch # sync while you edit, without committing
npx xintox learn # teach agents your past changes (titles, files, functions)
npx xintox health --out health.md # broken routes, possible 404s, unused endpoints, duplicates
npx xintox doctor # diagnose connection problems and slow responses| Option | Meaning |
| :--- | :--- |
| --ide <list> | claude, claude-desktop, cursor, windsurf, vscode, cline, antigravity, gemini, codex |
| -y, --yes | Apply without the confirmation prompt (required in non-interactive shells) |
| --no-sync / --no-agent-files | Skip the sync / instruction-file steps |
| --workspace-id <id> | Index name for the project (default: directory name) |
| --url <url> | MCP endpoint (default https://mcp.xintox.com/mcp) |
| -p, --project <name> | Project the repository belongs to (stored in .xintox/project.json; commit it) |
| --store-key | With hooks install: keep the key in ~/.xintox/credentials.json (user-only) for unattended syncs |
The key can also come from the XINTOX_API_KEY environment variable. Add a .xintoxignore file (gitignore syntax) to exclude more files from sync.
🔧 Manual Configuration (Optional)
XintoX is a remote MCP server using Streamable HTTP at https://mcp.xintox.com/mcp (the older https://mcp.xintox.com/sse URL still works). Authenticate with an Authorization: Bearer header:
{
"mcpServers": {
"xintox": {
"url": "https://mcp.xintox.com/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer xt_live_your_api_key_here"
}
}
}
}Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http xintox https://mcp.xintox.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer xt_live_your_api_key_here"Never commit a file that contains your key.
🔄 Turnkey CI/CD GitHub Action
Keep your codebase context, symbol indices, and route trees continuously synchronized with XintoX on every push and pull request:
# .github/workflows/xintox-sync.yml
name: 'XintoX Context Sync'
on: [push, pull_request]
jobs:
sync:
runs-on: ubuntu-latest
steps:
- uses: actions/checkout@v4
with:
fetch-depth: 0 # lets the action upload only the files changed by each push
- uses: aanwiksolutions/xintox@v1
with:
api-key: ${{ secrets.XINTOX_API_KEY }}🌐 Supported AI Editors & Ecosystem
