Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

xk6-socketio TypeScript Types

This package provides TypeScript type definitions for the xk6-socketio API, enabling autocompletion and type safety when writing k6 test scripts in TypeScript.

Installation

Install via npm:

npm install xk6-socketio-types

Usage

Import types in your k6 scripts:

import { connect, emit, emitWithAck, disconnect } from 'xk6-socketio-types';

export default function () {
  connect('ws://localhost:3000');
  emit('event', { foo: 'bar' });
  const ack = emitWithAck('ackevent', { foo: 'bar' });

API

connect(url: string): void

Connect to a Socket.IO server.

emit(event: string, data: any): void

Emit an event to the server.

emitWithAck(event: string, data: any, timeout?: number): any

Emit an event and wait for an acknowledgement. Returns the acknowledgement response or a timeout error object.

disconnect(): void

Disconnect from the server.
