Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Yoline Cli

A free and open-source blog based on Node.js. It is the smallest of the blog we can do, and that's the goal!

Usage

$ npm install -g yoline-generator
$ yoline

How to configure the blog

In the content folder you can create files: each file contains a post. In the media folder you can put all your image files. You can see this file for example.

In the config/meta.js file you can set:

  • The blog title in title
  • Your twitter account in twitter for the SEO
  • The blog description in description
  • The url of your blog in url, it will be important for the SEO
  • The year in year for the copyright
  • The date format in french

Why you choose this beautifull name?

Yoline is beautiful, y reminds the front-matter in yml. But after all, it's a close friend who gave me this name. She will given this name to her future daughter.
