Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

To contact me to report a bug or suggestions for a feature you want, my email is '[email protected]'

Latest Version: V.1.4.0

All Current Features

VM.save('hello', 'tmp.text', true) // More info 1.4.0
VM.names('both', 'all', true) // More Info 1.3.0
VM.random(1000, true) // More Info 1.1.0
VM.func() // More Info 1.0.0

V.1.4.0 - The Saving Update

-Added the 'save' feature

VM.save('savedInfo', 'fileName', 'save', whether it will say what it did)
// It only works with json files.
VM.save('', 'fileName', 'delete', whether it will say what it did)

VM.save('', 'fileName', 'load', whether it will say what it did)
// The loaded file goes to VM.saved.

-Instead of the last thing write 'true' or false'. The default is false;

V.1.3.0 - The Names Update

-Added the 'name' feature.

VM.names('gender', 'nation', true)

-Instead of 'gender' type 'male', 'female', or 'both'. The default is 'both'

-Instead of 'nation' you can do 'en, all, chinese, dutch, french german, greek, hawaiian, italian, irish, japanese, korean, nat-us, romanian, russian, scottish, spanish, swedish'.

-And the 'true' means the system will console.log it. The default being true

-One little issue with the VM.names() function. It will take a while to update, so ... you figure it out yourselves. Maybe use setTimeOut?

-Changed the name of the package. It is no longer 'vendingm'. It is now called 'Zeatures'

V.1.2.0 - The It-Is-Actually-Working Update

-Fixed a major bug: -The package ACTUALLY works now.

V.1.10 - The Random Update

-Added the 'random' command.

VM.random(limit,true/false)

-The second parameter indicates wether or not you'll get a rounded number. The limit will not be reached.

V.1.0.0

-This is a vending machine type module.

-To add more items to the list do:

VM.machine.push({name:'Example', price:100})

-To change an item do:

VM.machine[0].name = 'Example'

-or

VM.machine[0].price = 100

-To change the amount of money you have do:

VM.money = 100

-And finally to activate the machine, do:

VM.func();
